About this apprenticeship

LDN Information Communications Technician apprentices provide on-hand technical support to internal and external customers, including troubleshooting and solving non-routine problems, as well as supporting users remotely and face-to-face.

Whether it is on-premises or in the cloud, ICT apprentices work to deliver efficient operations, maintenance, and control of your IT infrastructure, designed to support IT departments across all sectors.

Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Information Communications Technician

  • Preparation for CompTIA A+ (Exams not funded by the apprenticeship levy)

Off-the-job Learning: Average of 6 hours per week to be spent on off-the-job learning activities

Duration: 16 months

Content: Delivered through in-class and digital learning workshops and one-to-one coaching, apprentices will cover IT Support essentials, Security, Data Management, Maintenance, Problem Solving, Networking, and Installation.

Our unique programme includes introductions to widely used technology stacks such as AWS, Microsoft and G Suite as well as an intensive bootcamp where apprentices prepare for the CompTIA A+ certification.

  • Five day intensive CompTIA A+ practical Bootcamp which prepares apprentices to sit their A+ certification and includes mock exams for CompTIA 1101 and 1102 (exams to be arranged by employer). Additional exam costs not covered by the apprenticeship levy.
