The course examines how sustainability is operationalised across areas such as Marketing, Finance, Operations and HR, and why decisions in one function often have consequences for others. 

Learners explore common challenges in translating sustainability strategy into action, including unclear ownership, misaligned incentives, data gaps and cultural barriers. A practical diagnostic framework is introduced to help learners understand why sustainability efforts stall and where leverage for change exists. The role of targets, KPIs and reporting systems is explored to show how sustainability becomes a managed priority rather than a stated intention.

Learners reflect on how sustainability shows up within their organisational and functional context. Practical examples support understanding of how sustainability can be embedded into processes, decision-making and day-to-day responsibilities.
