The LDN Sustainability Professional programme equips professionals with the skills, knowledge and behaviours to lead impactful sustainability and social value initiatives and drive change within their organisations.

Designed by industry experts and award-winning consultancy MH&A, the apprenticeship features a state-of-the-art curriculum designed to support apprentices in becoming sustainability change makers.

Developed in collaboration with the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals (ISEP) – formerly known as IEMA, the programme embeds key technical knowledge and explores how organisations can mitigate risk and capture sustainability-related opportunities, such as those linked to climate change.

In partnership with

Thanks to our collaboration with ISEP, all learners will receive free Affiliate membership while studying, giving them access to a wealth of resources and a supportive professional network. The programme also provides a clear pathway to ISEP Associate level, the entry-level professional recognition for individuals starting their career in sustainability.

Learners will benefit from:

  • Access to ongoing learning and a community of like-minded professionals to support their development.

  • The opportunity to progress to ISEP Associate level by completing their apprenticeship and passing the fully funded Associate exam.

  • Earning the AISEP professional suffix and a fully funded first year of Associate membership if successful.

    Duration

    20-month programme
    (15-month training, 5-month apprenticeship assessment)

    Qualification

    Level 4 Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability Practitioner

    Apprenticeship Assessment

    Assessment method 1: Professional discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence.
    Assessment method 2: Work-based project followed by a report and a presentation with questions and answers.

    Who’s it for?

    Perfect for upskilling existing employees working in ESG, sustainability, social value, community and employee engagement, DE&I. Also suitable for training up young professionals looking to start their career within similar roles.

    To apply you’ll need to:

    • Prove your right to work in the UK
    • Be a UK citizen, or have lived in the UK or EEA continuously for the past 3 years
    • Be able to apply the learning to your role
    • Not have previously studied the course content
    • Not undertake any other government-funded qualification during your apprenticeship

The LDN Sustainability Professional programme consists of nine learning paths

Elective Courses

LDN has worked closely with industry experts to produce a suite of five additional elective courses that cover key areas of sustainability.

LDN Sustainability Professional apprentices will have the option to complete any of these additional courses.
