    Duration

    16 month programme
    (12 months training, 4 month apprenticeship assessment)

    • Level 3 Information Communications Technician

    • Preparation for CompTIA A+ (Exams not funded by the apprenticeship levy)

  • Apprenticeship Assessment

    Assessment method 1: Professional discussion underpinned by portfolio.
    Assessment method 2: Project report with questioning.

  • Who’s it for?

    The Level 3 ICT apprenticeship is perfect for those wishing to start a career in technology. It can also be used to upskill those on existing tech teams who have perhaps learned by doing, but have no formal industry qualifications.

  • To apply you’ll need to:

    • Prove your right to work in the UK
    • Be a UK citizen, or have lived in the UK of EEA continuously for the past 3 years
    • Be able to apply the learning to your role
    • Not have previously studied the course content
    • Not undertake any other government-funded qualification during your apprenticeship

Content overview

LDN’s delivery of this programme is thorough and intensive.  Core technical learning is delivered over a 9-month period and includes:

  • PC architecture, and how to safely install and configure machines

  • Core skills including communication, data protection, time management and developing your career

  • Technology maintenance, trouble-shooting and network configuration

  • Advanced networking, print options and operating systems to support mobile devices

  • Virtualisation of modern technology systems and the benefits of adoption, principles of cloud design

  • Google cloud business essentials, Azure fundamentals and AWS cloud

  • Operating systems, including Microsoft 365 and Google professional workspace administrator

  • Tools and techniques for trouble-shooting, automation
